Where ya'll at?
Time to start planning our 20th Reunion for 2010. Just around the corner. Man we're getting old! Maybe we can plan some type of Reunion Planning Party this summer up in D'Field or somewhere. Let me know-- I'm game!
For those who may not know, here's a quick summary on what I've been up to:
After living together for 13 years, I finally married last July and we had an awesome wedding. My wife's name is Yvette and we have a 12-year old son together (Blake). I work for an oilfield communications company (Mo-Star Oilfield Communications), the wife works as a secretary at the junior high where my son attends the 6th grade. We live in Yoakum, TX (near Victoria-- just a 1.5 hour drive from Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Corpus). My job has me all over the state. I'm even up in the Daingerfield area from time to time with work. When I do get up that way, I usually make it a point to visit my mom (who lives near the lake in Jenkins) or Grant Mars in Longview. I also have a cousin (Josh Capps) who lives in Ore City (or did the last I knew) and another cousin (Jessica Capps) who I think still lives in Longview.
Prior to going into the oilfield (to make a little more money), I was a sportswriter for many years at small town newspapers (family upbringing).
Besides working, been busy coaching my son in all his sports-- right now it's Little League. I could go on and on about his ability in every sport he does, but what I'm most proud of are his straight A's in school. He's what I call my "Little Retirement Program". I'm so proud of him.
Well, I hope some of my classmates read this and get back with me on what they've been up to......
